In order to empower students to become both problem seekers and solvers, they will have the opportunity to participate in an authentic and unique experience. Teachers within Hopewell Elementary School will be asked to identify specific problems they have encountered in their classroom and home that require a 3-D designed solution. After receiving these problems, students will then be given the opportunity to evaluate and brainstorm solutions. Next, students will interview the individual to learn more about the problem and then begin to engineer a 3D solution. As students participate in this design cycle, they will move into a global community where they are able empower change for a wider audience and see the impact their thinking can have on the world.
